GB News' Eamonn Holmes left his co-stars astounded as he opened up about having recurring nightmares. During the programme's breakfast show, he was joined by Ellie Costello and sports presenter Paul Coyte as they discussed the disastrous effects of the nightmares.

As they looked at the headlines during the newspaper segment, the 65-year-old asked the duo: "Did you have any nightmares last night?" After Paul admitted that he did, Ellie pointed at the presenter and recalled: "You did, back to back." To which Eamonn jokingly responded: "You're for an early death then." Following their astounded reactions, the broadcaster picked up a newspaper and read: "Frequent nightmares triple the risk of suffering an early death and accelerated biological ageing."

Eamonn continued, "You see, Paul is 27. " As the presenter jokingly agreed, his pal and podcast co-host hilariously said, "You see, it is having an effect."

Paul responded: "These early mornings, that's what it is. It's obviously the nightmares." To which the former This Morning star said: "You see, I'm like you, I have nightmares quite frequently."

Ellie remarked: "I never do, I'm going to live forever. I never have nightmares." After sharing his disbelief, Eamonn added: "You know what I dream about quite a lot? Vampires."

"I do, I think when I was young and I saw Christopher Lee being Dracula that really had an impression on me, I thought that was the scariest thing," he shared.

Paul questioned: "So, all these years on, you're still having these dreams?" As Eamonn confirmed: "Absolutely!"

Ellie probed: "So they're coming after you in these nightmares?" After answering "yes," the presenter revealed: "And their all Christopher Lee-esque."

Taking to the comments with disbelief, one viewer penned: "God bless Eammon, Eammon you have another 20 plus years yet. All dreams have meanings, just Google them. Active mind. Is what you have."

One blasted: "This is the 'news' everybody," as a fourth echoed: "Can we just call this 'story time with grampa' at this point?"

Another viewer joked: "I wake up every day and Labour's still running the show...it's giving ultimate nightmare vibes."
