Oats suji appe: Oats semolina apps are an excellent combination of health and taste, which not only become quickly but also mild and nutrition for the stomach. In today’s run -of -the -mill life, when both the need to eat healthy and time lacks, then such options prove very useful. While oats are a good source of fiber and protein, semolina makes it light, crisp and easily digested.
Be it breakfast served with tea or children’s tiffin oats semolina apps are suitable for every occasion. They are made in very low oil in app pan, making them more healthy options than deep fry dishes.
Ingredients to make oats semolina app
Oats – 1 cup (roasted and coarse ground)
Semolina (rava) – 1/2 cup
Curd – 1/2 cup
Finely chopped onion – 1
Finely chopped capsicum – 1/4 cup
Grapped carrots – 1/4 cup
Finely chopped green chillies – 1
Ginger paste – 1/2 tsp
Green Coriander – 2 Table Spoon (Chopped)
Salt – as per taste
Water – as required
Fruit Salt – 1/2 tsp (or 1/4 tsp baking soda)
Oil – to bake up
Method of making app batter
Add oats and semolina to a bowl. Add curd and mix it well and prepare a medium thick batter by adding water as needed. Now add onion, capsicum, carrot, green chili, ginger paste, green coriander and salt.
Keep the batter covered for 10-15 minutes so that the semolina is a little bloated. Add the eno to it just before cooking and mix it with a light hand. The batter will bloom. After this, heat the app pan on the gas and add some oil to each food.
Now fill the prepared batter in every meal with the help of a spoon. Cover on low flame and cook for 3-4 minutes, until the lower surface turns golden. Now turn up and cook for 2-3 minutes from the other side too. When golden and crisp on both sides, turn off the gas.
Method of serving
Serve the hot app with coconut chutney, coriander chutney or tomato sauce. These are perfect with children’s tiffins, morning breakfast or evening tea.
