Indonesia, the largest economy in Southeast Asia, attracted 5.63 million foreign tourists in the first five months of this year, up 7.44% year-on-year.
In May alone, Indonesia welcomed 1.31 million international tourists, an increase of 14% compared to the same period of the previous year, ANTARA News Agency reported citing Statistics Indonesia.
Malaysia, Australia and Singapore are the largest sources of visitors to Indonesia during the period.
Indonesia aims to attract between 14.6 and 16 million international tourists in 2025, a slight increase from 13.9 million visitors in 2024.
