The Ferrari Roma was one of the prettiest looking cars on sale and they have revealed the successor to it. The new Roma successor is called the Ferrari Amalfi and it still looks beautiful and Ferrari has made quite a few changes than can be seen on the skin of it. There are design elements although it still stays recognizable as the Roma successor.
There are other changes as well. The V8 remains the same but it has more power and Ferrari has gone back to giving buttons on the steering wheel which is brilliant news from the House of Maranello. Lets start with the design first.
On the outside, the Ferrari has smoothened out the design. The original grille has been done away with and the lights also have some new elements of design. There are new wheels and new aero elements as well. The changes are not radical but the car looks significantly different enough to warrant a new name.
On the inside, the things are nearly the same but Ferrari has responded to customer feedback and replaced the god awful touch sensitive switches on the steering wheel and replaced them with real buttons. They are also made out of titanium.
There are changes to the 3.9L twin-turbocharged V8 engine and it now produces 631 bhp which is 19 bhp more. 0-100 kmph happens in 3.3 seconds and Ferrari has also loaded the new car with all the tech. There is brake by wire and it also gets Ferrari’s slide slip control 6.1. There is currently no word on pricing or when the car will be delivered but we expect it to be more expensive than before.
