New Delhi . Former England batsman Ian Bell has said that if Jasprit Bumrah is fit, India should not limit to just three Tests to manage his workload, given India to manage the high profile of the five-match Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. Jasprit Bumrah’s playing for the second Test starting in Birmingham from Wednesday is questioned, as Indian captain Shubman Gill has said that his main fast bowler will be decided only after seeing the pitch. However, Gill has said that Bumrah is available for selection.

Ian Bell, who scored more than 7700 Test runs for England, told PTI, “I would be surprised if he (Bumrah) could play only three Test matches in this summer season. He is the best fast bowler in the world and if he does not play, England will be very happy. Of course, you want to save them (Bumrah), but if the series is at the series and he will have to play.” The 43 -year -old player believes that the spin may play an important role as the match progresses.

The spinners will eventually come into the game and India will have to decide that they want a player like Washington Sundar who can help Ravindra Jadeja, or Kuldeep Yadav, who is a better option to take wickets. Bell said, “This (wicket) will not turn quickly, but it can take spin till the fourth or fifth day.” He believes that Kuldeep should be included in the playing XI. He said, “Kuldeep is bowling brilliantly. Any player who can spin the ball from both sides is always a danger – especially for the lower order of England.”
