Monsoon Showers to Continue in Rajasthan

The monsoon rains in Rajasthan are predicted to persist throughout this week, with several areas likely to experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall, according to a spokesperson from the meteorological department.

The spokesperson indicated that a circulation system is currently established over southeastern Rajasthan and its surrounding regions, with the monsoon 'trough line' also passing through southern Rajasthan.

As a result, there is a strong possibility of continued heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in southeastern and southern Rajasthan on Wednesday.

In contrast, light to moderate rainfall, along with sporadic heavy showers, is expected to continue across most parts of eastern Rajasthan over the next week.

Additionally, light to moderate rain is anticipated in parts of the Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions in western Rajasthan over the next three to four days, with a chance of heavy rainfall in one or two locations.

The spokesperson noted that several areas experienced heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in the last 24 hours, with Khanpur in Jhalawar recording the highest at 199.0 millimeters.
