High-Level Meeting on Future Reforms


New Delhi: On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led a significant meeting with key Union ministers, senior bureaucrats, and economists to discuss the framework for upcoming reforms, a major point he highlighted during his Independence Day speech.




Attendees included prominent figures such as Union ministers Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Nirmala Sitharaman, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Piyush Goyal, and Lalan Singh, along with various senior officials from different ministries.




Modi shared on X, "I chaired a meeting to outline the roadmap for Next-Generation Reforms. Our commitment is to implement swift reforms across all sectors, enhancing the Ease of Living, Ease of Doing Business, and overall prosperity."









During his address on August 15, he announced the establishment of a task force dedicated to 'next-generation reforms' and the revision of GST laws, emphasizing India's goal of achieving self-reliance in various sectors, including semiconductors and fertilizers.
