Jharkhand Jail Warder Recruitment 2025-26: If you want a government job as a jail warder, then bumper recruitment applications are about to begin in Jharkhand. The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) is starting the online application process for 1733 posts of Jail Warder (Kakshpal) from today. Earlier, applications for this recruitment were supposed to start from November 7, 2025, but due to some reason, it was postponed. Now, from January 9, the recruitment commission has started online registration on its official website jssc.jharkhand.gov.in.

In this new recruitment, candidates have been given time till the last date February 8, 2026, to fill out the online form. Therefore, 10th pass candidates who are preparing for government jobs can also apply for this recruitment.

Required Height?

The height of male candidates from Unreserved/Economically Weaker Sections, Extremely Backward Classes, and Backward Classes should be 160 cm. However, a height of 155 cm will be acceptable for Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste male candidates. The height of women from all categories should be 148 cm.

Running Test Details?

In the physical efficiency test, both male and female candidates have been given different times to complete a 1600-meter race. Boys will have to complete the run in 6 minutes. Girls will be given 10 minutes for the same. Previously, this race was 10 km long. Candidates who qualify in the physical test will be called for the written examination in the next stage.

How to Apply?

To apply for the form, candidates must first visit the official website of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) at jssc.jharkhand.gov.in.

Go to the Application Forms (Apply) section. You will see the JKCE-2025 link in the title (after the registration link is activated).

Then click on the Apply Online tab. If you have registered on the website before, log in using your unique registration number and password.

Now, carefully fill in all the details requested in the online application form.

After filling in all the information, scan and upload your latest color photograph, signature, and other necessary documents.

Pay the application fee and take a final printout of the form, and keep it safe.

During the application process, candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 100. However, candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes of Jharkhand state will have to pay an examination fee of Rs. 50. If you apply without paying the application fee, the form will be rejected.
