Cricket fans just witnessed the most thrilling match of the 2026 T20 World Cup so far.

The 13th match of the tournament was played between the African nation and the Asian nation on February 11 which proved to be a nail biter.

Batting first, South Africa gave Afghanistan a target of 188 but they levelled scores on the last ball in the 2nd inning by after losing all wickets which resulted in a super over.

The super over was another exciting feat as the scors levelled again prompting another supr over.

Eventually, South Africa grabbed victory by a thin margin knocking the hopes of the Asian team further who are almost out of the tournament now.

The man of the match was declared to be South African bowler Lungi Ngidi who had impressive figures of 3/26.

The top performers for the SA were Ryan Rickleton with 61 and Quinton de Kock with a score of 59.

For AFG, Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored 84 and Azmatullah got Omarzai 22.
