Saptashakti Sangam organized


Jalandhar: Dr. Madhushree Sanjeev Savji, the key speaker in the provincial Saptashakti Sangam program, highlighted the historical and cultural importance of Jalandhar in his impressive speech. Describing in detail the seven qualities of Saptashakti – Shri, Kirti, Vak, Smriti, Medha, Dhriti and Kshama – he said that by adopting these qualities women can recognize their true power. Describing the role of woman as the center of family and society, he said that a mother is the first teacher of values. Along with this, he described forgiveness, communication and cooperation as the basis of strength of relationships.



Throwing light on the greatness of Indian culture, Dr. Savji said that our philosophy thinks about the welfare of the entire universe. He told that this universe made up of Panchmahabhutas is based on the principle of love and unity. Describing science and spirituality as complementary to each other, he said that the imagination of creation is incomplete without Adishakti. He also said that in ancient times, the status of women was very high and even today we need to understand the basic elements of Indian culture and establish harmony in the family and society.


After the program, Acharya Sisters of Sarvhitkari Keshav Vidya Niketan, Jalandhar gave a soulful rendition of the song ‘Hum Hi Matrishakti Hain’, which filled the atmosphere with patriotism and strength. Special guest Mrs. Geeta Ahuja said in her address that it is necessary to imbibe the qualities of Saptashakti in life. He told that the life journey of a woman is from daughter to God.



He also informed that till now more than 22,000 Sangams have been organized across the country, in which approximately 27 lakh women have participated. 356 Sangams have also been organized in Punjab, in which around 26,000 women have participated. Especially among the women of rural areas, the sense of their power has awakened through this confluence. He called upon the society to be inspired by giving examples of great women like Ahilya and Gargi.


On this occasion, Dr. Madhushree Sanjeev Savji (All India Minister and Saptashakti Sangam Convenor, Maharashtra) and Smt. Geeta Ahuja (North Regional Saptashakti Sangam Convenor) were specially present. Dr. Rekha Kalia Bhardwaj (Saptashakti Sangam Province Convenor) and Dr. Sushma Chawla (Gynecologist) had the dignified presence in the program. The guests were introduced by Mrs. Jyoti Sharma.



The program ended with the national song Vande Mataram. This program was stage coordinated by Mrs. Chanpreet Arora. Everyone enjoyed the communal meal. This provincial Saptashakti Sangam proved to be an important step towards women’s awakening, cultural consciousness and nation building.
