But getting away can be an expensive business. But travel experts TUI have released lots of lovely breaks for under £500pp. With prices slashed on thousands of holidays, a much-needed break under the Spanish sun could be well within reach.

From family fun with the little ones to adult-only breaks with a spa, Spain is a popular holiday destination for sun-loving Brits. Ahead of the season, we've rounded up five of the best Spanish resorts that those looking for a mid-season escape can book today.

TUI BLUE Alcudia Pins is a family-friendly beachfront resort on Playa de Muro, Mallorca, with shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. The hotel features multiple pools, a splash park, kids' clubs, and a variety of sports and entertainment options. Guests can enjoy buffet and àlacarte dining with All Inclusive packages, making it ideal for a lively, activity-filled holiday.

One guest who stayed at the TUI BLUE Alcudia Pins called it "Amazing and perfect for families," adding "it was one of the Best Holidays of our life. We are now in love with this Hotel and Playa De Muro and we will be back very soon."

The TUI SUNEO Estival is located a short walk from La Pineda Beach, with shops, bars, and restaurants nearby. The resort features a sparkling outdoor pool with slides and a separate children's area, making it suitable for families.

One guest who stayed at the TUI Suneo Estival called it "A wonderful family hotel," adding, "Really good experience...The hotel is amazing and really accommodates kids. We would definitely look to come back."

While one three-star review noted: "While the hotel was clean, some of the room decor felt a bit dated and in need of a refresh." Another guest loved it saying: "We had a very good stay at the hotel summer park. Clean and beautiful room. A great environment for the whole family. I recommend it."

With 50 miles of sandy beach on offer, the Costa Dorada is popular with families. Other deals include seven-nights at the Best Oasis Park from £420* per person with On the Beach or a week at the legendary Ponient Hotel Dorada Palace & Theme Park by PortAventura World in Salou from £480* in June.

The White Isle awaits at the adult-only AluaSoul Ibiza, perfect for trendy travellers seeking style and relaxation. This beachfront hotel features chic designer interiors, a vibrant pool scene, and on-site dining, with a beach club vibe just steps from Es Canar and close to Santa Eulalia and Ibiza Town.

Guests can enjoy live music, DJs, cocktails at the lobby bar, or unwind on Bali beds by the pool for the ultimate sundowner experience. Described by one visitor as "a fabulous place" the location is spot on.

Highly recommended by a group of revellers, another five-star review said: "Five girls on tour living our best life in the suite overlooking the sea! We loved the hotel & the staff were fantastic... so much fun, especially at night!"

Alternatively, Love Holidays has a range of Ibiza hotels available with selected price drops. Popular deals include seven nights at the trendy Amare Beach Hotel in San Antonio Bay from £389* in May, or an all-inclusive break at the Occidental Ibiza from £469 per person.

The Evenia Olympic Park and Waterworld Lloret is a lively familyfriendly resort in Lloret de Mar with multiple pools, slides and a piratethemed splash area that keep kids entertained all day. With two bars, a restaurant and a spa, it's a big hotel with plenty to offer visitors of all ages. One visitor said: "This is very much a family hotel with lots of things to keep the kids entertained."

Another said it was like "Four hotels in one" with "ample pool selections with children friendly pools, water slides, play areas, child activities daycare, water sports throughout the day and evening events"

Some visitors felt it was too busy however, with one noting: "Night time doors slamming. People talking loud, laughing" whereas others loved the vibe with a five-star review calling it "a brilliant place to be." For a last-minute getaway in May, prices start from £470* per person, arriving on May 9 on an all-inclusive basis.

A family favourite, Jet2 has a good deal on the Rosamar Garden Resort in Lloret de Mar, with prices starting at £387* for a room-only break on May, 17. Elsewhere, the Guitart Central Park Aqua Resort promises "big fun at low prices" with breaks from £359* in May.

For a more grown-up experience, the Garden Playanatural Hotel & Spais a relaxed adult-only retreat just steps from sandy beaches, with beautiful outdoor pools and lush gardens perfect for soaking up the sun. The fullservice spa and wellness centre offer rejuvenating treatments, saunas, and hydrotherapy experiences for pure relaxation.

Guests can enjoy tasty on-site dining, fun activities and lively entertainment for a stay full of comfort and variety. One visitor left a glowing five-star review that said: "Great adults-only hotel for a relaxing getaway from it all resort. Beautiful surroundings, great views and we enjoyed the food."

While one visitor was disappointed with the location, explaining that it was "A 5-mile walk to the nearest shops and bars", others appreciated the tranquil location, with one adding: "Wonderful little Spanish oasis! The spa treatment from Nieves was incredible - a definite must here. Very comfortable and clean, does what you need it to do at this hotel. Always get a sunbed."

With vast stretches of golden sandy beaches, the Costa de la Luz region is a beautiful part of Spain that can sometimes be overlooked. Some other hidden gems include the four-star Hotel Fuerte El Rompido with spa facilities, with prices from £499* in June.
