The comedy film Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain: Fun On The Run, a spin-off of the much-loved television show, is now heading to OTT after its theatrical run. The movie will start streaming on ZEE5 from April 3, bringing its quirky characters and chaotic humor to digital audiences.
Directed by Shashank Bali, the film takes the familiar faces from Modern Colony on a full-blown cinematic adventure. Packed with comedy and eccentric twists, the story expands the world of the original show beyond its TV setting. The screenplay has been jointly written by Raghuvir Shekhawat, Shashank Bali, and Sanjay Kohli.
The announcement of its digital premiere was made by ZEE5 on social media, teasing fans with the show’s signature humor: “Modern Colony ki paltan nikal padi hai, karne fun on the run… Sahi pakde hain!”
The film had a modest run at the box office after releasing in theatres on February 6. As per reports, it earned around Rs 1.68 crore globally.
The cast features several familiar names from the series. Aasif Sheikh reprises his role as Vibhuti Narayan Mishra, while Rohitashv Gour returns as Manmohan Tiwari. Shubhangi Atre plays Angoori Tiwari, and Vidisha Srivastava appears as Anita Mishra. The ensemble also includes Mukesh Tiwari, Ravi Kishan, Soma Rathod, Brijendra Kala, and Saanand Verma in key roles.
