New Delhi: Allegations of casting couch and drugs are often raised in the fashion and film industry. Many models and actresses have spoken openly on these issues, but famous fashion designer Rohit Verma’s opinion is quite different from these allegations. He clearly said that here no one forces anyone, everything happens as per one’s own will.

The allegations against the fashion industry were said to be wrong

Rohit Verma said that the fashion industry is criticized the most because there is more glamor here and cameras are everywhere. He claimed that in the film or fashion industry, things like casting couch or drugs are mostly made up. He said, “I say with great pride that I am the queen of the fashion industry. Whatever allegations are made here are all nonsense. No one rapes anyone. Everything happens with consent and as per one’s own will.”

Casting couch happens in corporate too

Rohit Verma argued that casting couch is not limited to just fashion or film industry. He said that this happens in the corporate world and other areas too, but due to less glamor there no one comes to know about it. Due to the abundance of cameras in the fashion industry, the matter quickly gets highlighted.

Talent and intention are most important

The designer stressed that if someone has true talent, skill and clear intentions then no one can stop him from moving forward. Giving the example of one of his friends, he said that he had made all the chats of the person who accused MeToo public on social media.

Why give consent and then complain?

Rohit Verma further explained that people in the industry take decisions as per their own free will. Going to someone’s house at 12 in the night, drinking coffee in the drawing room and then going to the bedroom, all these steps are taken by oneself. He said that if someone wants to refuse then he can go, but it is wrong to complain later. You have to take your own responsibility.
