Prime Minister Loan Scheme Scam: Nowadays, a dangerous online scam is spreading rapidly on social media and YouTube, which is especially targeting the middle class and people in need of immediate money. In this fake claim it is being said that “Prime Minister Loan Scheme” Under this, a loan of up to ₹ 3 lakh can be availed only through Aadhaar Card. But the government has made it clear that no such scheme exists and it is a complete fraud.
This fraud is designed very cleverly so that common people easily fall into its trap. Advertisements include “Apply Now” Graphics resembling government logos are used along with words like, so that it looks real. Sometimes a link or QR code is also given in it.
As soon as a user clicks on this link, he is redirected to a fake website or app, where he is asked to provide sensitive information like Aadhaar number, mobile number and bank details. As soon as the information is filled, the fraudsters use it for their benefit.
To spread this scam to more and more people, fraudsters are taking the help of sponsored advertisements. That means these fake ads are being promoted by paying money. Especially those people who want a quick loan are targeted. By using words like hurry up and limited time offer, people are forced to click hurriedly and this mistake becomes costly.
If a person clicks on such a link and shares his information, he may suffer a huge loss. His identity may be stolen or even money may disappear from his bank account. In many cases, fraudsters can use this information to commit bigger frauds, due to which the financial loss can increase manifold.
It is very important to be alert to avoid such scams. If any advertisement claims to give a big loan without much documentation, do not trust it. Always check the correct information about government schemes by visiting the official website myscheme.gov.in. Never share your personal or banking information on any unknown website or app. If a link has misspellings, strange URLs, or pressure to hurry, understand that it is a scam.
If you see any such advertisement or message, do not ignore it but report it immediately. You can report it on government platforms like PIB Fact Check or flag it on social media. Remember, “easy and quick money” There is often a web of deception. A little wisdom and caution can save you from big losses.
