Hyderabad: Will MS Dhoni play Chennai Super Kings (CSK)’s next match against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday evening? Even though it cannot be confirmed yet, its possibility has increased significantly due to Dhoni traveling to Hyderabad with the team. When the team reached Hyderabad airport, fans gathered to get a glimpse of Dhoni.

In the video posted by CSK on social media, it can be seen that fans are shouting Dhoni’s name as he is boarding the team bus. Dhoni is currently recovering from a calf strain and remained out of CSK’s first five matches in IPL 2026. He also did not travel with CSK to Guwahati and Bengaluru for away matches. He did not even go to Chepauk on the days of CSK matches.

On the eve of the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he practiced briefly in the last leg of the team’s practice session but during this period he faced only throwdowns. CSK started the season with three consecutive losses but have won both their last matches.
