Indian Railways: Currently, maintenance and development work is underway across several zones of Indian Railways, the effects of which are being felt across various states. Passengers traveling on railway routes within Rajasthan are advised to read this news update carefully.
Indian Railways Timetable: Indian Railways serves as a primary mode of transportation for the public—one that is also affordable and budget-friendly. Consequently, any disruption to a train’s schedule or route can have a significant impact on people’s daily lives. However, the Railways remains fully committed to the welfare of its passengers and makes every possible effort to ensure their comfort and convenience. Recently, the Railways issued an update stating that several trains on the Rajasthan route have been cancelled, some have had their routes diverted, and others have undergone schedule changes. Find out here exactly which trains are affected.
These Trains Will Remain Cancelled
Trains operating between Jaipur and Ajmer will be partially cancelled. Check here to see which specific trains are affected.
Jaipur–Udaipur City Train (12992)
This train will depart from Ajmer on May 5th; typically, this train originates from Jaipur.
Udaipur City–Jaipur Train (12991)
This train will depart from Udaipur City on May 5th but will only travel as far as Ajmer. It will not proceed beyond this point to cover the remainder of its route (i.e., up to Jaipur).
Routes Diverted for These Trains
The route has been diverted for only one specific train on this sector—a train that operates along the Jaipur corridor.
Shri Ganganagar–Bandra Terminus Train (14701)
On May 3rd and May 13th, this train will operate via a diverted route—Ringas–Phulera—instead of its scheduled route (Ringas–Jaipur–Phulera).
These Trains Will Run Late
Additionally, several trains are expected to run behind schedule. Here, we provide details on exactly which trains will be delayed and by how much.
Ajmer-Sealdah Train (12988)
This train will run 1 hour and 40 minutes behind its scheduled time on May 5th.
Jodhpur-Varanasi City Train (14864)
This train will depart from Jodhpur on May 5th approximately 2 hours behind its scheduled time.
Ajmer-Kishanganj Train (15716)
This train will depart from Ajmer on May 5th 2 hours behind its scheduled time.
Why have these changes occurred?
In fact, construction work for an underpass is currently underway at the Dhankya station yard within the Jaipur Division; consequently, the railway administration has taken this decision. Due to this ongoing work on the Jaipur-Phulera route, the routes of certain trains bound for Jaipur have been diverted, while the timings of others have been revised.
If you also plan to travel on this route in the near future, please carefully review these changes before finalizing your travel plans.
