Chikkamagaluru: Commuters were put to significant hardship after a lone tusker stood in the middle of the road at the 10th curve of Charmadi Ghat.

The wild elephant blocked the path for over an hour, leading to a massive traffic jam with vehicles lined up on both sides of the road. While travelers waited in fear, the movement of vehicles was completely disrupted. Although the tusker reportedly ventures onto the national highway at least twice a week, locals expressed frustration that the Forest Department has failed to find a permanent solution to the recurring issue.

The Forest Department has issued a cautionary advisory, urging those traveling through the Charmadi Ghat route to drive with extreme care.
