NEET UG 2026: The Special Operations Group (SOG) of the Rajasthan Police is conducting a continuous investigation regarding the NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3. Facts that have emerged during the investigation have further reinforced suspicions of a paper leak. According to sources, certain questions reached a criminal gang even before the examination papers were printed. It is alleged that approximately 90 questions from Biology and 35 from Chemistry had surfaced before the exam. These questions were combined with other questions to create a specialized "question bank," which was then distributed to a select group of students.

According to media reports, the SOG has detained an individual named Manish from Jaipur in connection with this case. The investigative agency suspects him to be the mastermind behind this entire network. His mobile phone, call records, and contacts are currently being subjected to a thorough examination. Officials apprehend that this network may not be confined solely to Rajasthan but could potentially extend across several other states. The SOG is expected to make further significant revelations regarding this case in the near future.

**Question Bank Distributed to Students**

According to the investigative agency, the gang systematically compiled the leaked questions and distributed them to students. During interrogation, some students admitted to having paid money in exchange for this material. The most startling revelation is that numerous questions included in the alleged question bank appeared verbatim in the actual examination. This has further deepened the suspicions regarding a paper leak.

**How Was Security Breached Despite Strict Measures?**

The NTA's examination system is generally considered to be highly secure. The printing presses responsible for producing the question papers are equipped with a multi-layered security framework, including CCTV surveillance, security guards, digital encryption, and unique identification codes. Employees are strictly prohibited from carrying mobile phones or cameras onto the premises. Despite these stringent measures, the revelation that questions managed to leak out has raised serious questions regarding the efficacy of the security protocols. Investigative agencies are now focused on determining precisely how this information managed to escape the facility amidst such rigorous surveillance.

 Controversy Persists Over the FIR
According to sources, the SOG apprised NTA officials of this matter; however, an official FIR has not yet been registered. This is also impacting the investigative process. Several suspects have been taken into custody and are currently being interrogated.

Network Spans Across Multiple Districts
The investigation has revealed that this alleged "question bank" reached as far as Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Churu, Nagaur, and Dehradun. Sikar is believed to be the central hub of this operation. The agency is now scrutinizing financial transactions, chat records, and call logs. Officials believe that more names may surface in connection with this case in the coming days.

Rahul Gandhi Also Raises Questions
Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, also aimed at the government over this issue. He stated that while lakhs of students toil hard throughout the year, incidents such as paper leaks jeopardize their future.
