The pair of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan, who are in amazing form in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026, have created history. Gujarat Titans (GT) openers have equaled the world record of Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle by making a partnership of 125 runs against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Thursday (May 21). Gill-Sudarshan have jointly reached number-1 in terms of making the highest century partnership in T20 cricket.


 


Chris Gayle-Virat Kohli, Babar Azam-Mohammad Rizwan and AB de Villiers-Virat Kohli had made 10-10 century partnerships. There have also been 10 century partnerships between Gill and Sudarshan. The special thing is that both of them have made this record in just 46 innings, which is the lowest.

He became the seventh fastest batsman to reach this milestone in terms of innings. Gill completed 6000 runs in his 185th innings. Babar Azam is the fastest batsman to score 6000 T20 runs. He had achieved this milestone in just 162 innings.
