The Brazil squad gathered at the Granja Comary training center in Teresopolis to begin their tournament preparations. Neymar opted for helicopter travel to bypass heavy road traffic and arrive directly at the facility, according to Mark.
His private Airbus H145, a highly customized aircraft inspired by the Batmobile, has an estimated value of US$13 million. The helicopter features a matte black paint job, numerous Batman-inspired details, including the superhero’s logo embossed on the 10 leather seats, and is registered under his initials as “PP-NJR.”

This high-end Mercedes-Benz Style edition of the Airbus H145 is equipped with two 900-horsepower Turbomeca Arriel 2E engines and can safely carry up to eight passengers alongside two pilots.
To ensure punctuality and increase safety amid heavy regional traffic, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) also chartered helicopters to transport other players from Rio de Janeiro to Granja Comary. The CBF noted this measure minimizes travel risks and prevents the squad from being delayed by congestion.
Before joining the national team, Neymar addressed lingering concerns about his right calf injury, asserting the condition is not serious. While watching his former club Santos secure a 3-0 victory against Deportivo Cuenca in the Copa Sudamericana on May 26, he briefly stated: “It’s still here, intact.”
When pressed on whether the injury would affect his World Cup availability, Neymar simply replied: “What problem?”
However, according to ESPNthe Brazil medical team remains highly cautious. Staff are reportedly developing a tailored training plan for the forward, and he is likely to miss the team’s pre-World Cup friendly matches as he works his way back to get match fit.
As of Wednesday, 23 of the 26 called-up players had reported to camp. Gabriel Magalhães and Gabriel Martinelli (Arsenal), along with Marquinhos (Paris Saint-Germain), will join the national team following the Champions League final on May 30.
On their first day in camp, the players underwent a series of medical and fitness tests, followed by a closed-door afternoon training session.
Carlo Ancelotti’s squad will play friendlies against Panama on May 31 at the Maracana Stadium and against Egypt on June 6 in Cleveland. Brazil will then head into the 2026 World Cup, where they are drawn in Group C alongside Scotland, Haiti and Morocco.
