Students are not able to bear the shock of NEET paper leak, due to which cases of suicide among students are increasing. The latest case has come from Koderma district of Jharkhand, where a student preparing for NEET committed suicide. The student’s family claimed that she had committed suicide out of frustration over the cancellation of her exams. According to the police, this incident took place in Chitragupta Nagar of Telaiya police station area on Sunday night. Police said the 17-year-old girl was alone in her room when her family members called her for dinner.


 


According to the police, when no response was received for a long time, the family members broke the door and entered inside and found him hanging by his dupatta. The student was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Telaiya police station in-charge Vinay Kumar said that a case of unnatural death has been registered.


 



The student was preparing for NEET-UG


The girl’s father told that his daughter had given the NEET-UG exam on May 3 and he had high hopes about her performance. She said that she became upset after the exam was canceled and feared that the re-examination would be tougher than the previous one.


What did the father tell?


The girl’s father works as an insurance agent. He told, ‘We explained to her several times and she seemed to be recovering from the shock. She had resumed her preparations and was giving online tests regularly. He told that his daughter had also given online test on Sunday evening.


 



 


The father said, ‘We called him several times during dinner, but got no response. We became worried and when we broke the door and entered, we found his body. The family is originally from Nawada district of Bihar and the student was the only child of her parents.


Suicide in Karnataka too


Earlier, 18 year old student Bhagyashree had committed suicide in her home in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. This incident came to light on 24 May. The student was found hanging from the fan in her room. She was very bright in studies and had scored 92 percent in her Pre-University Course (PUC) examinations.
