In a tragic accident on Thursday evening in village Pindari of the local police station area, a 6-year-old boy died by drowning in the Son river. After the incident, there was chaos in the family and a wave of mourning ran in the entire village. Late in the evening the family cremated the child’s body.

According to the information received, Bootan son Akshay Nishad (aged about 6 years), resident of village Pindari, post Chanchikala, had gone fishing on the banks of Son river with 9-10 people of the village. Meanwhile, at around 5 pm, he went into the river water and drowned in deep water. People present nearby tried to save him, but by then it was too late.

As soon as information about the incident was received, there was an outcry among the family members. With the help of villagers, the child was pulled out of the river, but his life could not be saved. Due to the untimely death of the innocent child, a mountain of sorrow fell on the family. As soon as the news of the incident spread, a large number of villagers gathered at the spot and started consoling the bereaved family.

There was an atmosphere of mourning at the house of the deceased child. The family members were in bad condition, crying. The people of the village also expressed deep sorrow over this incident. Late in the evening, the child’s body was cremated with religious rituals.

This heartbreaking incident has once again raised serious questions regarding the safety of children around rivers and reservoirs. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the area and people are extremely saddened by the death of the innocent child.
