Desk: Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have given scholarships to 180 promising students from 45 schools for better education through ‘The Deverakonda Foundation’. For this, Rashmika and Vijay had reached Achampet Mandal of Telangana on Sunday. Thummanpet of Achampet is Vijay’s ancestral village, it is here that his father was born and it is here that he grew up. This is the reason why this village is very special for Vijay. Vijay and Rashmika had dreamed of a scholarship program for children in February this year, which they have now completed.

On X (earlier Twitter), Vijay Deverakonda has shared the list of names of all the children who have received scholarship. He has also shared a picture of himself and Rashmika going to Thummanpet. In the post, Vijay wrote, “We are going to Thummanpet. A small village, where my father was born. In February, Rashmika Mandanna and I had announced the beginning of our small dream, through which we had decided to reward the hardworking students of class 9th and 10th of Achampet mandal of Telangana. Here is the list of 180 students who have made their parents proud.”

After going to the village, Vijay also talked to the students and their parents in an event. He said during the event, “I am giving you this small scholarship gift, which is very small. But I think it is important for us. I want to be a part of your life. Gradually, after my village, I want it to spread all over Telangana. This is my dream.”

On this occasion, Rashmika Mandanna also spoke from her heart. She said in the program, “I will not speak much today. Today we are starting something good through The Deverakonda Foundation. We had decided that we will start it from Achampet and Thummanpet, which is my father-in-law’s village. Today I am standing in front of you and speaking as Rashmika Mandanna Deverakonda. I am very excited.”
