State Politics: Currently, state politics is witnessing unrest and a series of party shifts within the TMC. In the meantime, the newly appointed state president and theMLA from West Bengal, Kunal Ghosh, has openlyquestioned the political future of Senior TMC Leader and MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay. Kunal Ghosh had sarcastically said that what would be the role and the stance of Sudip Bandyopadhyay when there is a paradigm shift within the new faction? The remarks made by Kunal Ghosh has caused a furore within state politics. Whispers are around on whether Sudip Bandyopadhyay will be given the charge of leading the new faction of the TMC.
On his part, Kunal Ghosh attacked Sudip Bandyopadhyay severely and said that he had almost destroyed the North Kolkata wing and many active workers of the TMC have shifted to the other parties. He has thanked Mamata Banerjee and all other members of the party high command and told them that he is the new in charge and it will be a challenge. He further added that due to him, a lot of leaders have left the TMC and called Sudip Bandyopadhyay injustice. The phrase ‘Dear Naina Boudi’ is what the sarcasm in Kunal Ghosh’s comment implied.

Sudip Bandyopadhyay met Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav in New Delhi on Saturday with a rebellious TMC MP Shatabdi Roy. The meetings between Bandyopadhyay and Yadav triggered fresh political speculation amid the current crisis within the TMC. Bandyopadhyay, a Lok Sabha MP from the Kolkata North constituency, is considered as one of the senior most MPs and an influential bridge between TMC’s top leadership and New Delhi.
