The England women's cricket team has revealed a 15-member squad for their inaugural Test match at Lord's, scheduled to take place from July 10 against India. Nat Sciver-Brunt will make history as the first English woman to captain her team in a Test at this iconic venue, with five players potentially set to make their Test debuts.

Among those in contention for their first Test appearance are Alice Capsey, Tilly Corteen-Coleman, and Mady Villiers, all of whom have previously played in limited-overs formats. Additionally, Grace Potts and Ellie Threlkeld are also part of the squad but have yet to represent England in any format, according to the ICC.

A Momentous Occasion for Women's Cricket

Clare Connor, the managing director of women's cricket in England, expressed her enthusiasm for this pivotal moment in the sport. She stated, "We have assembled a formidable Test squad under Nat Sciver-Brunt's leadership for what promises to be another historic few days at Lord's for women's cricket."

Squad Details and Recent Performances

Despite suffering a calf injury during T20 World Cup duties earlier this week, Sciver-Brunt has been named captain and will participate in her 13th Test match. Heather Knight, the most experienced player in the squad, is set to play her 15th Test.

England's last Test match took place during the Women's Ashes in January 2025, where they faced defeat against Australia at the MCG.
