New Delhi . Regarding actor Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, director Ahmed Khan has made many important revelations to its budget and production process. He explained that the total budget of the film remained well within the projected figures and most of its cost was recovered through the sale of various rights even before its release. According to him, now the earnings from theaters are directly adding to the profit.

Ahmed Khan said that despite the film’s long cast, grandiose action sequences, songs and large-scale production, the overall cost was kept within around Rs 120 to 125 crore. He says that special attention was paid to controlling the budget during construction, due to which the project remained financially balanced.

According to the director, the production costs were already covered by the sale of the film’s digital, satellite, music and foreign distribution rights. This is why the revenue from theater is now emerging as additional profit for the producers. He described it as an important part of the film’s financial planning.

Ahmed Khan also shared interesting information regarding the shooting of the film. He told that the shooting of the entire film was completed in about 75 shifts and each shift was of about eight hours. It was a big challenge for the team to organize the shooting schedule amidst the large star cast and availability of different actors, but the entire work was completed on time as planned.

In ‘Welcome to the Jungle’, along with Akshay Kumar, many actors including Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandes, Disha Patani, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krishna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda and Shreyas Talpade are seen in lead roles. Due to the big star cast, this film remained a topic of discussion since the beginning.

The film’s release was pushed back from earlier scheduled. Its release was delayed due to construction work, extensive shooting schedules, and visual effects work. The film was finally released in theaters on 26 June 2026 and started receiving good response from the audience in the initial days.

The film has also made a satisfactory start at the box office.
