Raj Kundra has nothing but immense love and respect for wife Shilpa Shetty as he revisited his arrest in the pornography case in 2021.

The businessman-turned-actor was arrested and put behind bars for 63 days at Mumbai’s Arthur Road Jail.

Raj, while speaking to ABP Newsrecalled how that phase took an emotional toll on him and how Shilpa handled the situation.

He opened, “Shilpa got the news about my arrest through the news. She got all the best lawyers, but she didn’t know what to do. At that time, my businesses in India employed around 4,000 people.”

According to Kundra, Shetty was very distressed and kept on saying that she won’t be able to manage the situation.

He said in a statement, “Shilpa kept saying, ‘How will I manage all this?’ I was told I would have to spend 63 days in jail, but I had no idea how long it would actually take.”

The 50-year-old revealed that his mind stopped working because his entire life turned upset down. “I was an IPL team owner one day and suddenly I was put behind bars. When I came out, I was the happiest because I felt I had a fresh new start.”

The pornography case against Kundra has still not reached a formal judicial closure as the legal proceedings and asset investigations continue.
