Chhath Puja takes place from November 13 to November 16; if you wish to reach home before the 13th, you can check ticket availability here. According to booking rules, tickets can only be booked up to two months in advance. Consequently, we can only provide information on tickets up to November 8. On which days are confirmed tickets available?

Currently, not a single confirmed ticket from Delhi to Patna is available up to November 8. Consequently, you will have to travel using a Tatkal or a waitlisted ticket.

What should you do if even a waitlisted ticket is unavailable?

While you can travel with a waitlisted ticket purchased from the counter, if even that is unavailable, you can obtain one by getting a recommendation letter from your Member of Parliament (MP) and presenting it at a Delhi ticket counter. This will enable you to travel home for Chhath Puja.
