Char Dham Yatra 2026: Due to the guidance of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and efficient travel management and better arrangements of the state government, Char Dham Yatra is continuously making new records. The number of devotees in Badrinath and Gangotri Dham has broken all the old records. So far, 18.10 lakh devotees have reached Badrinath Dham and maximum 8.41 lakh devotees have reached Gangotri Dham for the first time. The number of pilgrims to Yamunotri Dham has also crossed 7.5 lakh, while 15.57 lakh pilgrims have visited Kedarnath Yatra. In terms of the total number of pilgrims for this year’s Char Dham Yatra, so far 53 lakh 23 thousand 401 devotees have visited the Char Dham during this period.

Last year, the number of pilgrims during this period was around 46 lakh, whereas there is still one and a half month left for the Yatra, in which the number of devotees is expected to increase more than in previous years. There is great enthusiasm among the devotees regarding the visit of Shri Hemkund Sahib. Here, for the first time in comparison to the last several years, the number of devotees has reached 03 lakh 52 thousand 765. Under the direction of CM Dhami, the Yatra is being conducted with utmost caution.

All necessary steps have been taken keeping the safety of the devotees paramount. The disaster management department in Rudraprayag, Chamoli and Uttarkashi districts to the Yatra has been kept in alert mode round the clock. The first phase of Chardham Yatra has been very successful. A large number of pilgrims are arriving in the second phase also. Keeping this in view, all necessary arrangements have been made for safe, smooth and organized travel. The disaster management department has been kept in alert mode in all the districts to the yatra. Travel arrangements are being constantly reviewed by the concerned higher officials at the state and district level.
