MUMBAI: The (CJP) began its protest at Shivaji Park in Mumbai on Friday demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner . Hundreds of protestors, along with a few celebrities, gathered outside the Shivaji Park gates. CJP has warned that the Mumbai protests were just a 'trailer' and the real fight would take place at in Delhi.




"We just had a long protest (for 's resignation). Because this government is so incompetent and are thieves, we have to agitate again... We are aware of the Jantar Mantar barricades. However, we are going to bring in so many people in Delhi that the barricades will break," said CJP founder .








Actress and singer Vishal Dadlani also participated in the protest held outside the gates of Shivaji Park. While CJP had wanted to hold the agitation inside Shivaji Park, the Mumbai police refused to give permission as it was a silent zone and political agitations are not allowed on the grounds. Mumbai police had barricaded the grounds to prevent the entry of CJP workers. Instead, CJP held a protest outside the gate of Shivaji Park.








Echoing Dipke, CJP co convenor Ashutosh Ranka warned the Delhi police that "we will play the final in Jantar Mantar". CJP has claimed that besides Mumbai, they would hold agitations in Bengaluru, Goa, Patna, Uttar Pradesh and Ranchi and then by October end the protest would be launched at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
