15Kasganj News: On Thursday, the weather wreaked such havoc in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh that the happiness of one family turned into mourning in a moment. Three people who came to save the crops kept in the field from rain got hit by lightning. In the accident, a woman, her 11 year old daughter and brother-in-law died on the spot. There is an atmosphere of mourning in the village after the incident. The family members are in bad condition and crying.

All three had reached the fields to save the crop

This tragic accident happened in Nagla Madhav village of Sahawar police station area. According to the information, the weather suddenly changed on Thursday. Dark clouds appeared in the sky and it started raining with strong winds. Fearing that the crops in the fields might get wet and get damaged, 36-year-old Ramwati, her 11-year-old daughter Kashish and 35-year-old brother-in-law Neeraj had gone to the fields. All three were trying to cover the crops with tarpaulin to protect them from rain. Meanwhile, clouds thundered in the sky and suddenly lightning struck the field. Due to this, all three got badly burnt and they died on the spot.

Villagers arrived after hearing the sound of the explosion

Hearing the loud sound of lightning, people working in the nearby fields ran towards the spot. The villagers got scared after seeing three members of the same family lying unconscious there. Police and ambulance were immediately informed. However, by then all three had died. The police took the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem. As soon as the news of the incident reached the village, there was hue and cry in the family. A family whose members were trying to save their crops some time ago was suddenly left in mourning due to three deaths.

Administration announced compensation

Sahawar SDM Harshita Deora said that three people have died due to lightning. Post mortem of the dead bodies is being done. He said that under the natural disaster, financial assistance of Rs 4 lakh each will be given to the families of the deceased.
