The results for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) NTPC Undergraduate Level 2 Computer-Based Test (CBT-2) have been declared. Candidates who appeared for the CBT-2 examination can check their results by visiting the official website.
RRB NTPC UG Result 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board has announced the results for the second stage of the Computer-Based Test (CBT-2) conducted for posts advertised under the NTPC Undergraduate category. Candidates who participated in the CBT-2 examination held on September 17, 2026, can view their results, scorecards, and cut-off marks on the official RRB website. This recruitment process aims to fill a total of 3,058 vacancies. According to data released by the Board, 45,898 candidates appeared for this second-stage examination; their results and scorecards have now been made available on the online portal.
Zone-wise Cut-off
The RRB has released the cut-off marks for this examination based on railway zones, categories, and specific posts. For instance, the cut-off for the RRB Ranchi NTPC UG CBT-2 is 86.66 for the General category, 78.84 for SC, and 86.08 for OBC. Candidates from other zones—such as Mumbai, Patna, Ajmer, Kolkata, and Prayagraj—can check the cut-off marks for their respective categories by visiting the relevant regional websites.
Typing Skill Test on November 27
According to information released by RRB Ajmer and other regional portals, candidates who performed well in the CBT-2 and were selected based on merit have been shortlisted for the next stage: the Computer-Based Typing Skill Test. This subsequent examination for the qualified candidates is tentatively scheduled to be held on November 27, 2026. The Board has clarified that being selected for the typing skill test does not, under any circumstances, guarantee a job. Instead, the subsequent document verification process will be based on the candidate's performance in both CBT-2 and the CBT-ST (Computer Based Typing Skill Test).
When will the typing test admit card be released?
The Railway Board has stated that all information regarding the examination will be provided to candidates in a timely manner. A 'city intimation slip'—which informs candidates of their assigned examination city—is expected to be made available on the official website approximately 10 days before the exam date. The admit card will be released just 4 days prior to the scheduled date of the examination. Additionally, the Board will send relevant updates to candidates via SMS to their registered mobile numbers and email addresses.
Shortlisting and Reservation Rules
Candidates have been shortlisted for the CBT-ST based on a merit list derived from the marks obtained in CBT-2, while also taking into account the cut-off marks from CBT-1. Candidates who have reached this stage by availing the benefits of reservation—under categories such as OBC-NCL, SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, or Ex-Servicemen—will continue to be considered under their respective reserved categories throughout the remainder of the selection process.
